NORTON PLAZA – GADIGAL COUNTRY

We acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Norton Plaza resides.

We acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging.

Norton Plaza rests on the traditional land of the Gadigal people.

The territory of the Gadigal people stretches along the southern side of Port Jackson, covering Sydney’s CBD from South Head to Petersham and down to the Cooks River.

The Gadigal are one of around 29 different clans of the Sydney metropolitan area, known collectively as the Eora Nation.

The Gadigal were coastal people who were dependent on Sydney Harbour for the majority of their food, as it was an important fishing and hunting ground.

Norton Plaza extends a warm welcome to all First Nations people and we pay our respect to their ongoing connection to land, water and community.
